Help WNY’s “most moving” fundraising event – volunteer for The Ride!

Every year, The Ride For Roswell counts on more than 2,000 dedicated volunteers who work together to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all. Without volunteers, The Ride couldn't happen.

Volunteers are needed for Thursday, June 21 for Ride setup, The Ride Opening Ceremony on Friday, June 22 and The Ride For Roswell on Saturday, June 23. You may register online as a volunteer or download the Volunteer Form and mail/fax it to the address below.

Online registration is a TWO-STEP process:

Step #1: Go to the Register As A Volunteer page: Begin by creating your Volunteer Profile by completing your contact information and related information. Step #1 registers you as a volunteer but does not assign you to a specific job. After completing your Volunteer Profile, you'll receive a confirmation email. BUT YOU STILL NEED TO COMPLETE STEP #2 TO SELECT YOUR VOLUNTEER POSITION!

Step #2: Go to the Choose Your Volunteer Position page: Choose a specific position for each of the days you choose to volunteer. You have the following options on how to do this:

  1. Search for a specific Volunteer Position using keywords (i.e. Route Guide, Cheerleader, Riding Marshal). If you do not know what specific Volunteer Position to search for, or the term associated with it, click "Submit" to see a list of ALL available Volunteer Positions with their respective dates and shift times.
  2. If you belong to a Sponsoring Company or Organization whose members are volunteering together, please select your company's or organization's name in the "Interest" tab to search for positions specific to your group. Please contact us if your organization name is not listed.
  3. After you've signed up for a Volunteer Position, you will receive a confirmation email with your details. A Ride Coordinator will contact you in the event of a position change; your confirmation volunteer packet (including parking map, parking pass, and campus zone map) will be mailed by June 15th.

Be sure to record the User ID and Password you use to register so that you can access your volunteering information at a later date.

Get started by registering as a volunteer today.  Once you are registered, a Ride Volunteer will contact you to confirm your volunteer position and shift time. Recruit friends, family, and co-workers to share in the fun. The Ride would not be able to happen without our dedicated volunteers. Thank you!

Most Popular Volunteer Opportunities

  • Route Guides: Watch The Ride in action! Route Guides play an essential safety and direction role along the routes. You can double- or triple-team a corner or intersection with your family or friends and shout encouragement to riders! Enter the keywords "Route Guide" on the Volunteer Opportunities Search page to see all the Route Guide positions where you can volunteer.
  • Riding Marshals: Carrying minor first-aid supplies and basic bike repair tools, being a Riding Marshal is a great way to combine the excitement of The Ride with helping out your fellow riders.
  • Start / Finish Line: Support riders as they assemble at the start line and then cheer and congratulate them as they cross the finish line at Baird Point. Individuals and organizations welcome!
