Celebrate with us!

Celebration of Hope kicks off Ride Weekend

Celebration of Hope honors the collective spirit of Roswell Park! It reminds us that by committing to being a part of Ride for Roswell, we’re raising funds to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research that is saving lives at Roswell Park.

The event takes place on the Friday night before Ride Day on UB’s North Campus. The impactful program includes the ceremonial lighting of the torch and so much more!

Everyone in the Roswell Park and Ride Community is invited to join us to experience:

Procession of Roswell Park doctors, nurses, staff and patients representing different cancers

Arrival of the Peloton — more than 200 Extra Mile Club Silver members who carry the spirit of Roswell Park from Buffalo to UB

Parade of Teams — showcasing dozens of the top fundraising teams at the heart of the Ride

The ceremonial lighting of the Ride for Roswell torch

The chance to learn more about the cutting-edge research being funded at Roswell Park thanks to the generous support of the Ride Community

Entertainment the whole family can enjoy

A chance to shop local at Vendor Village

What you can expect at Celebration of Hope.

4 p.m.

Vendor Village (NEW), the beer garden* and the MAC Band (Musicians Against Cancer) begin

5 p.m.

Dinner opens^

6 p.m.

Live look at the Peloton send-off from Roswell Park

6:45 p.m.

Start of the Celebration of Hope program. Parade of Teams and Procession begins.

7:15 p.m.

The Peloton arrives at UB

7:30 p.m.

Dinner closes. Torch lighting (Meet the 2023 Torch Lighter!)

8:30 p.m.

Celebration of Hope programming comes to an end

All proceeds from the Beer Garden, brought to you by LOVE FEST, benefit the Young Adult Cancer Program.

All EMC members and volunteers receive a free dinner with the wristband they receive at check-in. Tickets for dinner can be purchased at the ticket booth near the Celebration of Hope dinner tent. Volunteers can get their dinner ticket at the Volunteer Check-in tent in Jarvis A.

Checking in before Celebration of Hope?

Check in is located in the Jarvis A Parking Lot. From there, riders can walk over to the Governor’s C Lot for dinner, Vendor Village and the Celebration of Hope program.
